About me
Iād describe myself as passionate. As eager. As creative. As intelligent. As funny. As hipster-chic.
I'd describe my design philosophy as minimal, purposeful and impactful. I have an eye for sophisticated, yet simple design.
I've worked with a wide range of clients, from creating social media designs for the massive University of Florida to developing a brand for an individual aspiring journalist. I've learned the facets of successful design, like color theory, typography and layout, and the facets of being a successful person, like collaboration, multi-tasking, communication, problem solving and leadership.
I think of my skills like a Swiss Army knife - I've got a little bit of everything all wrapped up in one tool. I can write, edit, photograph, illustrate, design and communicate.
I'm a journalism graduate who doesn't want to do journalism. "Why'd you study journalism" you ask? The ability to critically analyze information, gather research, make deductions, craft a narrative and communicate a story transcends the field of journalism and can be applied to anything, like design and branding. Everyone has a story, and I want to help tell them. And also, I'm much better with commas now.
I'm not a classically trained designer, but all of my self-taught knowledge, my eye for design and my eagerness to learn has combined with my journalism experience to give me an individualized perspective on the power of design in storytelling.
I love black coffee. And dogs. And ice cream. And Instagram. If only my life was actually as cool as I make it look.
The No. 1 question I get is, "How do you pronounce your last name?"
It's pronounced Guh-leets (it's Hungarian).
